No Savior Besides Me-Continued Journey through Hosea - (5/13/2012)

As everyone knows there are two subjects you are never supposed to bring up in polite society: Religion and Politics. The fact is pretty much all of Hosea falls into one of those categories. But the time for “polite” is over and Hosea’s message about Religion and Politics is “You’re doing it wrong!”

Last week we saw God through Hosea condemn Israel’s Unprincipled Priests because they rejected the Torah and knowledge of the Lord and embraced and encouraged hypocrisy, self-indulgence, and unfaithfulness to God. God will hold these cultic carpet-baggers responsible for “doing it wrong.”

We are a church in Port Townsend, WA. We, First Baptist, are a church whose goal is simply to "Love God and Love Port Townsend."  The church is located in Uptown Port Townsend next to the library. Everyone is welcome at this church in Port Townsend. Service time is at 9:30 a.m. (childcare). Sunday School classes are available for Preschool - High School with sermon discussions for the adults.
 
Pastor Skip Cadorette grew up in Port Townsend, and has faithfully led this Port Townsend Church into the fabric of this great community. You may see Skip at the Farmers Market, the Uptown Street Fair, the WAVE food drive or the winter homeless shelter. He loves Port Townsend and looks for ways to serve it.
 
When members of this Port Townsend church were asked why First Baptist was their church home, the response was overwhelming. "We are loved here", "Because we are accepted here", "Because it is a community that we instantly connected with."
