Last year people from all walks of life, a variety of denominations, ages and faiths immersed themselves in the timelessness of holy text and the newness of grassroots creativity.
In preparation for Easter 2010 you are invited to join us at Crossroads: Where Art and The Passion meet.
All visual art mediums and styles are welcome. Each “station of the cross” includes the scripture passage (provided by FBC), the art piece and pertinent information about the piece and the artist.
The process runs as follows:
o The interested artist should obtain a copy of the 14 stations with scripture texts
o The artist chooses one of the 14 stations
o The artist calls to confirm his/her station choice with Skip/Rebekah at 385-5669.or E-mail: Skipnbekah@aol.com.
o The artist spends time with the passage, considering it, reflecting on it.
o From that reflection the artist creates a piece that represents that station
o Pieces must be finished and on site by Tuesday, March 30.
o Pieces may be picked up at 2:30pm on Saturday, April 3 or by special arrangement.
We look forward to seeing the cross through your eyes.
Some pieces from previous years Crossroads showings can be seen a the Gallery section of this website.
Stations are assigned on a first-come first-served basis by confirming with Skip/Rebekah Cadorette via phone: 385-5669 or E-mail: Skipnbekah@aol.com.
